Hello, and welcome to my blog, Life Outside The Margins: Where Revelation Meets Life Application. I know that name may sound a little unusual, but it has rich meaning to me. I love to read and study my bible, and oftentimes I will write in the margins what a particular scripture means to me; or maybe something a pastor or teacher I was listening to said something that struck me, and I’ll write what they said in the margins. I have also been known to break out the highlighters when something jumps off the pages and grabs my attention like someone just yanked me by the shoulders and said, “Wake up!”. It’s those margin notes I go back to in my personal study time that take me deeper into the heart of God and become foundational in my life as a Christian woman. As you read through the pages of my blog, you’ll see my margin notes, which are separated from the regular text and simply meant to highlight a thought and help start the pondering process … like this:

Margin Note: pondering … that thing you do when an idea or thought grabs your attention, & you don’t want to let it go … just yetso you linger a while with it.

My husband and I have two boys. They are married and have families of their own now. I have to say that after being the only girl in my family tribe, it is quite the blessing having these lovely young women on my team 🙂 We have been blessed with two precious grandchildren, and just let me tell you there is a reason it’s called “grand” 🙂

I currently serve on the women’s ministry leadership team where my husband and I attend church. In addition, I also accept invitations to speak and teach at women’s events and conferences as opportunities are presented. There is no greater joy for me than to see women catch their breath in that moment when they know they’ve heard from God; or to hold the hand of a precious girl whose soul is finally able to find healing, forgiveness, and restoration as the Father lavishes His love and grace on her heart. It is a miraculous thing to behold, indeed.

I live from my heart, and it is my prayer that my life will be a platform for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I invite you to visit with me in the pages of my blog, and I pray you, too, will find hope and encouragement as I share from my heart the margin notes of my faith in our Lord Jesus. I look forward to hearing your stories and meeting you in the pages. Blessings! ~Renee
